Rhodonite is a gemstone that is frequently found in shades of pink. Its name is derived from the Greek word for rose, "rhodon". Rhodonite is commonly used in jewelry and is known for its healing and recovery powers. Discovered by C.F Jasche in 1819, Rhodonite gained wide popularity in Russia during the 17th century for use in architecture and decorations. This stone was particularly revered by the Incan tribe in Mexico, who believed it contained the blood of their ancestors - hence its nickname "Incan Rose."

Rhodonite is a beautiful, but under appreciated, mineral. It is typically found in massive form, which means it does not have a definitive shape. The rosy pink and brown colour and the streaks of black manganese in it are as lovely as anything you will find in a gemstone or mineral specimen. Rhodonite is in the same group as tourmaline, and has a similar crystal structure. . Rhodonite is perfect for use in collector’s pieces, such as sculptures and paperweights.

Rhodonite is most commonly found in metamorphic rocks and can only be found in certain parts of the world. Some of the places where Rhodonite can be found are Brazil, Peru, India, Italy, Russia, South Africa, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Tanzania, Madagascar, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Rhodonite crystals hold powerful healing properties, such as the ability to improve circulation and boost energy levels. Furthermore, rhodonite works to reduce stress and can help you cultivate deeper self-cultivation. These gemstones are believed to bring balance throughout your life, aiding in relationships and overall wellbeing.
