Stilbite Crystals

Stilbite is serious of tectosilicate minerals that are a part of the Zeolite group and comes in both crystalline and massive forms. Usually, Stilbite is found within volcanic rocks along with Heulandite, Apophyllite, Barite, and Prehnite. During formation, Stilbite can be formed in a number of ways. It can be a pyramid shape, a bow tie shape, a long flat tabular, and in many more unique shapes and forms. The name Stilbite is derived from the Greek word "stilbene" which translates to "shine." Also, Stilbites are commonly associated with the Aries zodiac sign.

Stilbites can be found located in various parts of the world. They can be found in Scotland, India, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, and the United States. Stilbites are extensively found located in Oregon a state found within the United States. The places in Oregon they are commonly found are Coffin Butte, Fall Creek, Ochoco Mountain, and Foster. Not only can stilbites be found in various parts of the world, but they can also be found in various colors. Stilbites can be found in pink, white, red, yellow, brown, orange, green, red, blue, and black, and can even be found to be colorless.
